Barre Classes & Training

Pliés, relevés, and sauté jumps don’t just look graceful, the ballet moves also lengthen and strengthen muscles and burn calories. Barre classes blend cardio, strength training, flexibility, balance and core conditioning in a total body workout that targets the hips, glutes, abs, and arms. Niyama is proud to offer both Barre classes and Barre Teacher Training.

Barre Classes

Barre Training

This 14 hour course, in partnership with Barre International, will teach about the history of Barre in today's world. You will immerse yourself through sequencing and understanding the anatomy and physiology of the body in barre-based postures. Each trainee will receive their own manual, which breaks down each posture, the muscular benefits and the modifications of injury prevention, pre/post-natal movement and level development of classes beginner-advanced. Trainees will learn about musicality, vocal technique to support teaching multiple classes, and how to structure and design your very own barre-fusion class.  Each trainee must pass the test-out to receive completion of course and certification.

This program is designed to enhance fitness professionals in their programs, by adding barre-based elements in their classes, as well as those looking to teach barre in the fitness industry.
