Thai Yoga Bodywork is a dynamic combination of myofascial stretching, joint mobilization, acupressure, energy balancing, rhythmic deep tissue compression, soft tissue manipulation and assisted yoga postures. It is a full body treatment that helps muscles, joints, bones, tendons function with greater harmony as well as one of the most calming and comforting feelings of bliss.
The Thai tradition employs a “multi-pronged” approach in which the practitioner uses thumbs, fingers, palms, forearms, elbows, knees and feet. Thai Massage uses a rocking motion to open muscles and tendons and tone internal organs to enhance the recipients vitality.
John Levis is a 500 hour yoga instructor whose lineage is in Anusara Yoga with over 16 years teaching experience, studying under Todd Norian and John Friend. He completed his Yoga Bodywork training with Jonas Westring in 2005. John is one of the most sought after Thai Yoga Bodyworkers on the East Coast.
